• WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

We collect the information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Website, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Website or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You:

We collect names; phone numbers; email addresses; mailing addresses; usernames; passwords; contact preferences; contact or authentication data; billing addresses; debit/credit card numbers; and other similar information.

Payment Data:

Our store is hosted on BigCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through BigCommerce data storage, databases, and the general BigCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Cookies:

Additionally, we use cookies to collect some of this information. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enable the sites or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to online services you visit. Note, however, there is no industry consensus as to what site and app operators should do concerning these signals. Accordingly, unless and until the law is interpreted to require us to do so, we do not monitor or take action with respect to “Do Not Track” signals.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then BigCommerce stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Social Media Login Data:

We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media accounts details, like your Facebook, Twitter or other social media account. If you choose to register this way, we will collect the information described in the section "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS" below.

All personal information you provide must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information automatically collected

Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Website.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information). Still, it may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about who and when you use our Website, and other technical information. We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

Our website is hosted on the BigCommerce platform, which employs advanced security practices and industry-recognized certifications to safeguard all customer data. BigCommerce maintains compliance with ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), ISO 27701 (Privacy Information Management), SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

All data transmitted to and from our website is protected using bank-level Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure your personal information remains private. This includes information such as login credentials, order details, contact forms, and general browsing activity.

BigCommerce’s infrastructure also includes continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection tools such as Sysdig Secure, Reflectiz, and a Bugcrowd vulnerability disclosure program to ensure platform security.

All credit card and payment details are encrypted and processed securely through PCI DSS-compliant payment gateways. We do not store or have direct access to your complete payment information.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever without your consent, other than for the express purpose of processing your orders, delivering products or services, or otherwise facilitating your use of our website.

We will retain your personal data for as long as you maintain an account or as otherwise necessary to provide our services. We will also retain personal data as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When your information is no longer needed for these purposes, it will be securely deleted from our systems.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

Opting out of email marketing: You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list – however, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes. • CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. Right to request deletion of the data - Request to delete

You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.

Verification process

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We comply with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Data without parental consent, don't hesitate to contact us through our Support Team. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Data without parental consent, we will take steps to remove the data and cancel the child’s account.

Online Privacy Policy Only

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

SMS Text 

By consenting to Discount Nutrition's SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Discount Nutrition through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, information, and abandonded cart (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to the message you received or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device unless initiated by you. Suppose you have subscribed to other Discount Nutrition mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise. In that case, you must opt-out separately from those programs by following the instructions in their respective mobile terms.
